About Me

Hello and Assalamualikum!!! I am Sahar. A twenty something inspired Pakistani mother blogger who has a penchant for writing, an unhealthy addiction to crime shows, passion for swimming, love for street food and Indian music, feels wanderlust all the time and has great aspiration to be a super mom of three naughty toddlers. I am blessed to have a beautiful family. A husband (constant support system who bears all my tantrums with great patience), a daughter (mini me but a prettier version) and twin boys ( source of endless entertainment and reason for my insanity). Being the first born to my parents, I enjoy being bossy to my three innocent siblings and a confidante to my super cool parents. This is my little lagoon! I dream of raising my kids as well-rounded individuals with a strong character, great values and amazing human beings by providing them a solid support and learning system at home. And most of all, I want them to be best friends. :)

BabyTv, our Life Saver!

My husband and I can't thank BabyTv enough for their amazing programs. I think we love the channel more than our kids since it keeps them busy for a few good hours during the whole day and in the meanwhile I get done with my routine household chores. Simultaneously, they are learning so much. Our daughter is 2.5 years old and boys are 1. The elder one has learned all the nursery rhymes and counting from this channel. She can identify and name animals and colors now. It's funny how she holds our finger and takes us to the TV so we can turn on the channel for her and this is the reason why her vocabulary is great at this age. The boys are quite young but the music and interactive cartoons have captured their attention too, they swing and hum while listening to the rhythms and lullabies. The most unique feature of this channel is the birthday series which will star your child on his/her birthday in their cartoon. Your toddler will be delighted to see himself/herself on live T

My 3 Top Favorite Local Clothing Brands For Children

Image
Pakistan's children garment industry is gradually reclaiming it's share in the market. The industry is booming with the increased awareness not only among mothers but also children who want to follow the latest fashion trends. The demand for imported children clothing has rapidly declined after the introduction of some of these brands. Of course, why would we spend thousands on international brands when we have them available in our local market, offering competitive quality and designs. Moreover, spending so much on kids clothing is pointless as children grow at a fast rate. Therefore, now I don't have to ask family an friends abroad to get me baby stuff from abroad. Yayy! I can do the shopping myself or simply order these brands online and get them delivered at my doorstep. So here goes my list of brands which I prefer for my kids for their affordable prices, designs and good customer service. So far they haven't disappointed me: 1. OUTFITTERS  Outfitters has is

Transition From A Working Mom to A Stay at Home Mom

Image
Few years back, when I was single, still remember, how career focused I used to be, with a lot of ambitions and plans to learn and excel in my field. Never thinking of what the future would really hold for me. Before completing my degree, I luckily secured  a job in the Human Resource Department at a leading hospital of the country. I absolutely loved my job and workplace because I was handling a lot of projects and recruitment activities independently. The feeling of being empowered and appreciated was great. I got married 6 months later and gave birth to my daughter a year and half later. I continued working but didn't go for the day care option (that's another debate). Instead I had the options to leave her with my mom or mother-in-law. So we went for the second option with mutual consensus. After my maternal leave of 3 month, I worked as a part timer in the same role for about a month before getting back to the normal routine. She was almost 4 months when I resumed workin
